The sad truth - Cindy Sheehan hits the nail on the head

I don't watch television. Certainly not propaganda stations. Which about sums up television so...

No, I'm no "dirty hippie". I'm not a leftist vegan either.

Yes, they are mostly propagandist and biased outlets that spend as much time distracting as they do misleading. This may or may not have been the case when the "dirty hippies" claimed it to be so (I was shittin me diapers around the time they pulled the guys off of the embassy rooftop in Saigon). It is most certainly the case now.

Anyway...the point is- I don't know a lot about Cindy Sheehan besides her Crawford Camp and Anti-War stance. I did come across this today though and she hits it right on the head.

Now, I'm not an entirely anti-war type. There are some definite world problems that just don't go away to a polite request or a childish refusal to trade with them officially while allowing business as usual[plus increased corruption!] through loopholes and shell companies. However, war is the last resort not a tool of revenge and greed.
She hit the nail on the head about the partisan nature of the nation - attack the wrongs of the party that one opposes and ignore the wrongs of the party that one supports. Then she drives it home.

Ding! Except...we are already there. It's just tightening now. This fascism has been growing here for a long time. It's machinations have been found in every corner of government of the land. From village to town to city to county to state and of course the national - corporatist fascism (which is redundant I'm aware) has been growing stronger and stronger. Where once the worker held some sway, illegal/quasi-legal immigration, corporate flight to cheap foreign labor, free trade (wealth consolidations), the Red Scare, corporatist chipping, and rampant corruption have drastically changed all that.

Bush Wars III

Looks like the sequel Bush Wars III will be funded...I sure hope he doesn't take this weakness from congress as a sign to start yet another foolish war - maybe into Iran or Syria this time. In my case one voted each way... at least Feingold is good for his word.

Send out some letters folks! Email your sens. Let em know that you are watching them. Let them know how you feel about how they voted (on this and other important legislation). Let them know that you are an informed voter. You watch, read, and remember when it comes time to vote. It takes a few mins literally to do so. I try to write my reps and sens often. It gives them a heads up and a little direction (particularly when it is their constituent telling them about particular bills and how they should vote). More importantly their response or lack there of will tell you how you(the constituent) stand in their view. That should give ya a BIG hint as to who to vote for on election day.
I know who I will and won't already.

If we do nothing, we will soon have just that.

Justice? Oxycontin doesn't feel the pain!

This company developed and produced one of the most addictive substances ever. In my belief, they did this intentionally from the begining. This confirms it. They knowingly created it for its addictive qualities, hid those qualities, and simultaneously encouraged doctors to overprescribe it.

Let's see....

Now let's look at the Justice is served point...

These men should be brought up on criminal charges. They deserve no special rights just because they are officers of a corporation. This corporation should lose its licenses. It's shareholders should lose their investments. It's held patents should be forfeit and open to use freely world-wide (if they have any worth a shit). A lesson should be taught to all these corporate criminals. What kind of drug war are we fighting? These guys aren't kingpins?

We need to get control back of our government.

We won't pass imported (Canadian) prescription drug bills for concerns over safety. But killing the USDA and allowing more food contaminations than ever before is cool.

We are in wars noone but the president, his administration, and his cronies feel the need to fight. Not that we don't feel there aren't wars we need to be fighting per se. We ALL feel those responsible for 9-11 should pay. Most of us feel that they haven't. A few of us believe that in fact they arent' paying but are getting paid. Regardless of who do it they must pay!

We allow the corporations to dictate to the market. We have no free markets. [Not that I think free markets are all that great. That's another post though.]

We allow religions to dictate our morals. Though these organizations themselves have been shown again and again to be without said morals.

We have allowed our rights to be revoked. We allow our government to torture. We allow our goverment to commit atrocities in our name, on soil both foreign and domestic. We allow our government to lie to us, poison us, control us, surveil us, steal from us, manipulate us, ignore us, and tax us to pay for it all!!

We allow our nation to be privatized right out from under us. Since business has proven itself so efficient, effective, non-discriminatory, free of corruption, and mindful of our rights we will now let business run government (American Fascism...hmm).

We need to regain our government.

Speak up, speak out, for fuck sake SPEAK!
