Sometimes you just don't get around to all the things you mean to. This one I finally did. It only took me a shade over a year to get around to it but traffic is low anyway so a rush wasn't really needed. I forgot to mention the 1 year anniversary of this blog in my last post (I can tend to get wordy ...). Speaking of wordy time to spit this out and get on with it! I finally got around to making an email account for the site. I can now be reached at:

dontreadthiscrap@gmail.com

Feel free to send anything you want (sigh yes even hate mail but only if you can reed and rite gude inglish).

Now on to what I really wanted to point out. Did anyone happen to notice Herr Bush mention WWIII today? Of course, it was a fear mongering tactic and not an honest admission of his agenda apparent. It won't be Iran who starts WWIII. I fear what Bush might do next, Iran not so much.

http://ca.today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2007-10-17T183310Z_01_N17329743_RTRIDST_0_NEWS-IRAN-BUSH-COL.XML

Another point I have been wondering to myself lately is will there be ANY Republican incumbents left by election day? Not that I'm going to miss a single one of their corrupt personages I must add. It is interesting though how many are retiring this year. It's almost like they know they killed the golden goose. They have had their run at the treasury and gave it their all. This doesn't mean there won't be another class of corrupt conservatives following right behind them. Just that it will be harder now to steal so much so fast. Some day we will reach the point where we won't have anything left to steal. Some people serve their country these "people" served their country up - to the highest bidders.

Keep writing! Editorials, your Federal, State and Local government, commenting online, blogging, whatever you can do to make more see the truth. Inaction is doing exactly what they want you to!

B

Good ole hypocrisy

There's nothing quite like the unabashed hypocrisy of the politicos today - most notably within the Republican party but certainly not absent within the Dems.

I just popped on today in the midst of my studies to post a couple links that you may be interested in.

The first is a heaping dose of hypocrisy:

http://www.therealdemocratstory.com/blog/comment.cfm?entry_id=225

The above link is to the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee). These lousy excuses for human beings are "Rush"ing to the aid of one of their prophets. I can only hope that the more these parasites show themselves for what they are the more their supporters will wake the fuck up.

On that note comes my next link(s) - this link I found through RRMB http://forums.therandirhodesshow.com/index.php and is quite humorous. It is the blog for some recovering republicans and the post itself is an analysis of what is happening to the Republican Party.
Of course they think that the party is sliding due to King George and dream of a return to Reagan. Maybe someday they will see the slide from a more enlightened position. That the party has been "sliding" towards their fascist ideology for much longer. It has reared it's head in every Republican administration since Nixon and probably for far longer. Nixon, Reagan, Bush Sr, and the whole slew of their operatives have been bringing us to where we are now - intentionally. This has long been the goal of Republican party - domination by any means of all political enemies. Anyway here's the link :

http://www.balloon-juice.com/?p=8799

And finally, I would like to put up a link for a blog that I have been enjoying for a few months now. It is published by a man with a keen sense for the bullshit of America today and a "mouth" that may even make Dr. Ruth blush. I have given up many sites since August due to giving my education my full attention - but this one I still frequent. It was through this blog that I found the NRCC site... :

http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/

Finally, I apologize for the lack of activity here on my blog. I have recently returned to school and this semester is brutal (CCNA YAY!). I have found precious little time for much else besides a little activism and a little fishing. Further, some of the topics that I feel haven't in the past been getting the exposure they need are finding their way to the MSM - like the recent Blackwater fiasco. The others issues that aren't getting the exposure will have to suffice with what I have already posted.

Hope to see ya all soon!

B

America is #1 ... in being a Police State

                                                                                        The U.S. Police State

According to the Bureau of Justice http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/prisons.htm

“On June 30, 2006--
-- 2,245,189 prisoners were held in Federal or State prisons or in local jails -- an increase of 2.8% from midyear 2005, less than the average annual growth of 3.4% since yearend 1995.
-- there were an estimated 497 prison inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents -- up from 411 at yearend 1995. “

While we are at it lets make a point about making facts lie -
this was published about June 30, 2006. If we are to believe the Bureau's number of 497 inmates per 100,000 our population at the time would be almost 452 Million.

X = Prison Population
Y = U.S. Population
Z = Percent of Population in Prison

X / Y = Z

2,245,189 / Y = 0.00497 [497 per 100,000]

2,245,189 = 0.00497 x Z [0.00497z]

Z = 451,748,289

However, The U.S. Census Bureau made this release on October 12, 2006 claiming only 300 Million.

http://www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/releases/archives/population/007616.html

In reality we come out FAR worse than their stat suggests.

2,245,189 / 300,000,000 = 0.00748 [748 per 100,000]

Yes, we have nearly 1% of our population in prison. That doesn’t include people on probation or parole. That number was a striking 7 million in the U.S. at the end of 2005 according to the Justice Department [via The Washington Post]

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/30/AR2006113000912.html

Let’s take a look at the numbers according to The International Centre for Prison Studies.

http://www.kcl.ac.uk/depsta/rel/icps/worldbrief/highest_to_lowest_rates.php

This study works with populations in prison as of December 2005.

China had 1,548,498 – 2,500,000 depending on what you include as prison. Let’s take the whole ball of wax and say 2.5M. That puts China at 189 per 100,000 people incarcerated.

At that time we had 2,193,798 prisoners. This put us at 737 per 100,000 people. Meaning per capita we have over 4 times more prisoners.

I think it is time we start a little reality based reality in this nation. Pull our heads out of our asses and look around us. This is not the America of our forefathers. Namely the contractors, corruptors, and cronies.

The Bush Wars, as I have stated before, are more about redistribution of national wealth than stealing oil, spreading "Democracy", or liberation of oppressed peoples. True Iraq has trillions of $ worth of oil reserves but this isn't going to make hand picked individuals nearly as rich as billions of unwatched dollars flowing freely on the banks of the Euphrates. See the oil requires we build infrastructure, protect it, and sell it - then of course those pesky Iraqis will want some of their money. Further this would most likely fall under some sort of oversight - where as contracting can be literally "money for nothin" with noone watching. Also, Bush would be unable to control who got their filthy hands on the bloody Iraqi oil funds - not so with contracting - these he hand picks. This is a way to empty the U.S. treasury for decades to come and hand it all to a few Bush/Neocon/Republican faithfuls.

Another point this article brings up is - of all the media in the nation isn't it telling that the alternative media are the folks actually discussing the real issues? Rolling Stone, The Colbert Report, John Stewart, blogs, independent websites, etc. Has this nation entirely flipped it's lid? The air waves belong to the nation not the channels. We should take em back if they are not used as intended - and if this is as intended we need to retool the FCC rules. Revoke all of Fox's air wave access and let them "fair and balanced" all they want online or in print. The same goes for all other propaganda organizations. Why is there no standard for facts anymore? Why is there no way to hold T.V. News to a standard based on factual reporting? [I won't even get into why are Americans so fucking stupid to watch this shit and believe it.]

Anyway I digress, here is an article outlining some of the parts of Grand Theft: National Treasury.

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/16076312/the_great_iraq_swindle?source=music_news_rssfeed

B

To hell with skeletons in the closet...

This GOP consultant has fresh bodies.

http://crimeblog.us/?p=535

Hmm I wonder, this may help his career really.

B

Petitions for Censure and Ending the Iraq War

Well, I know that petitions have a fairly negligible effect on the political landscape of today. That said though these are extremely easy and will take a couple minutes with the added bonus that they are actually petitions started by the politicos (so at least a couple want to know). If your interested here are the links to Progressive Patriot Fund's website:

Censure (ya it's not impeachment and it most certainly isn't what they deserve - is there such a punishment available?):

http://ga1.org/campaign/censure07?source=web_censure07

Ending Funding for the Iraq Debacle

http://ga1.org/campaign/iraq0407/

If there is no start how can there be an end? If we keep trying to bring sanity to the foreground we may eventually find that "start" so we can finally end this drive to fascism and the control by the fewer and fewer. I could never have imagined this nation falling so complacently into what it has become so swiftly. Perhaps this will be the greatest test faced yet by this nation and the ideals it used to hold dear. Time will tell as it always does.

B

Doing the Right Thing? He illegally sold arms to terrorists (real hostage taking, plane blowing up, Hezbollah linked terrorists). He was implicated in drug dealings. He did his damnedest to overthrow a sovereign government. He gave material funds to the Nicaraguan Contras (themselves a quasi terrorist organization).

Well this scumbag who has somehow evaded a just punishment (that NEVER happens in Washington) now writes to tell us how to do the right thing? Here is a link to his article on townhall (propaganda central).

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/OliverNorth/2007/08/10/doing_the_right_thing?page=full&comments=true

His assertations are ridiculous in the extreme. The more these appointments became normal, even praised the more we allowed to infiltrate. Inevitably infiltration unchecked becomes saturation. All that remains after saturation is allowing private industry to outright supplant our government. This is happening now at break neck speed - the pretty shiny term for this... privatization. What cannot be privatized is neutralized - or worse saturated. From the Supreme Court to Election Officials to Presidential Advisors (Cabinet) to the VP himself. Saturated. A conflict of interest to these people means a conflict with THEIR interests.

I fear there is no way to reclaim that which has been stolen, raped, pillaged, destroyed, polluted, or otherwise lost.
Not to say there is NO way but more so that the way will not be followed.

The people of this nation will NEVER reclaim their government without revolution. I have watched as politicos come and go, promising, lying, grandstanding, and worse. None of this has had any impact on the implementation of the fascism in the Americas. Expecting any change in this trend is silly at best. Further, I do not see any sort of revolution fomenting within the populations of this land. [Before I'm labeled as a nutcase, commie, libtard, gun nut, or worse a criminal let me clarify something. Revolution (despite the word being used to describe one of those wars some teacher droned on about when you were growing up) does not always need to be violent.]

Make no mistake a revolution is coming. Though I fear it will be a fascist one, the fascist roots are already entrenched. One in which mercenary armies will enjoy a natural legitimization. Where their use will be widespread and above accountability. Where workforces are further enslaved, rights are non-existant for the masses, ruthless enforcement in the name of security is commonplace, further media control leads to even more engineered infotainment, speech is curtailed, and far far worse - war is constant. Sounds pretty close to what we have now but this is but a taste.

We MUST turn back immediately. We must reign in our government, enforce the rule of law, strengthen the laws, fix the Constitution, reestablish effective control over industry, end the war on drugs, find ways to control immigration, outlaw mercenaries, kill privatization, kill self-regulation, make the new government as transparent as is possible, re-establish our military, establish corporate accountability, remove religion from government, end lobbyism, establish a far stronger state government policy while reducing Federal powers, establish a strong Federal system of referenda, establish accountability in government, balance the budgets, end the Federal Reserve, in short bring sanity to the nation. Daunting task. Are we as American's up to it?

Perhaps, corporate fuedalism will be fully realized in our lifetimes. Or worse yet corporate war lords? Maybe even a form of corporate communism. Don't laugh I could see the implementation of any of these. Corporations are very near communism in their economics and almost identical to fuedal or war lords in absolute power(within their organizations). All seem pretty bleak to me. They are all pretty much shades of each other. Allowing the wealth of an individual to eclipse the wealth of entire segments of the population or corporate economies to dwarf many national economies can lead nowhere healthy for a population of people as a whole.

For far to long individual rights to wealth have been illogical at best - grotesque more honestly. Whereas taxes could be used to curtail these problems this nation does the opposite and taxes everyone but the wealthy get the breaks. Then to further support the wealthy the government enacts insane legislation to basically redistribute the wealth of the nation....upwards. This is achieved through all sorts of lovely scams. I felt today the perfect day to do so. I had originally started out emboldening the passages I found to be most interesting -- I soon found that I would have to embolden the whole piece so I removed my edits entirely.

This is one of the "Anti-Federalist Papers". Written by "Cato" who most speculate was actually George Clinton the Gov. of NY at the time. For those of you who are not familiar with the Anti-Federalists Papers and the Federalist Papers they were articles written either pro or con(anti-fed) regarding the newly proposed Constitution. I find both sets to be very enlightening with regards to the reasoning behind the Constitution -- and the arguments against. This particular paper is very persuassive when viewed under the light of the current state of our Federal government.
So much so, it is nearly prophetic.

So...here is my tribute to liberty.

[quoted in entirety from: http://www.constitution.org/afp/cato_05.htm ]

"Cato"

Letter V

The New-York Journal, November 22, 1787

To the Citizens of the State of New York.

In my last number I endeavored to prove that the language of the article relative to the establishment of the executive of this new government was vague and inexplicit, that the great powers of the President, connected with his duration in office would lead to oppression and ruin. That he would be governed by favorites and flatterers, or that a dangerous council would be collected from the great officers of state, -- that the ten miles square, if the remarks of one of the wisest men, drawn from the experience of mankind, may be credited, would be the asylum of the base, idle, avaricious and ambitious, and that the court would possess a language and manners different from yours; that a vice president is as unnecessary, as he is dangerous in his influence -- that the president cannot represent you because he is not of your own immediate choice, that if you adopt this government, you will incline to an arbitrary and odious aristocracy or monarchy the that the president possessed of the power, given him by this frame of government differs but very immaterially from the establishment of monarchy in Great Britain, and I warned you to beware of the fallacious resemblance that is held out to you by the advocates of this new system between it and your own state governments.

And here I cannot help remarking, that inexplicitness seems to pervade this whole political fabric: certainty in political compacts, which Mr. Coke calls the mother and nurse of repose and quietness, the want of which induced men to engage in political society, has ever been held by a wise and free people as essential to their security; as, on the one hand it fixes barriers which the ambitious and tyrannically disposed magistrate dare not overleap, and on the other, becomes a wall of safety to the community -- otherwise stipulations between the governors and governed are nugatory; and you might as well deposit the important powers of legislation and execution in one or a few and permit them to govern according to their disposition and will; but the world is too full of examples, which prove that to live by one man's will became the cause of all men's misery. Before the existence of express political compacts it was reasonably implied that the magistrate should govern with wisdom and Justice, but mere implication was too feeble to restrain the unbridled ambition of a bad man, or afford security against negligence, cruelty, or any other defect of mind. It is alledged that the opinions and manners of the people of America, are capable to resist and prevent an extension of prerogative or oppression; but you must recollect that opinion and manners are mutable, and may not always be a permanent obstruction against the encroachments of government; that the progress of a commercial society begets luxury, the parent of inequality, the foe to virtue, and the enemy to restraint; and that ambition and voluptuousness aided by flattery, will teach magistrates, where limits are not explicitly fixed to have separate and distinct interests from the people, besides it will not be denied that government assimilates the manners and opinions of the community to it. Therefore, a general presumption that rulers will govern well is not a sufficient security. -- You are then under a sacred obligation to provide for the safety of your posterity, and would you now basely desert their interests, when by a small share of prudence you may transmit to them a beautiful political patrimony, that will prevent the necessity of their travelling through seas of blood to obtain that, which your wisdom might have secured: -- It is a duty you owe likewise to your own reputation, for you have a great name to lose; you are characterised as cautious, prudent and jealous in politics; whence is it therefore, that you are about to precipitate yourselves into a sea of uncertainty, and adopt a system so vague, and which has discarded so many of your valuable rights. -- Is it because you do not believe that an American can be a tyrant? If this be the case you rest on a weak basis; Americans are like other men in similar situations, when the manners and opinions of the community are changed by the causes I mentioned before, and your political compact inexplicit, your posterity will find that great power connected with ambition, luxury, and flattery, will as readily produce a Caesar, Caligula, Nero, and Domitian in America, as the same causes did in the Roman empire.

But the next thing to be considered in conformity to my plan, is the first article of this new government, which comprises the erection of the house of representatives and senate, and prescribes their various powers and objects of legislation. The most general objections to the first article, are that biennial elections for representatives are a departure from the safe democratical principles- of annual ones -- that the number of representatives are too few; that the apportionment and principles of increase are unjust; that no attention has been paid to either the numbers or property in each state in forming the senate; that the mode in which they are appointed and their duration, will lead to the establishment of an aristocracy; that the senate and president are improperly connected, both as to appointments, and the making of treaties, which are to become the supreme law of the land; that the judicial in some measure, to-wit, as to the trial of impeachments, is placed in the senate, a branch of the legislative, and some times a branch of the executive: that Congress have the improper power of making or altering the regulations prescribed by the different legislatures, respecting the time, place, and manner of holding elections for representatives, and the time and manner of choosing senators; that standing armies may be established, and appropriation of money made for their support for two years; that the militia of the most remote state may be marched into those states situated at the opposite extreme of this continent; that the slave trade is, to all intents and purposes permanently established; and a slavish capitation, or poll-tax, may at any time be levied -- these are some of the many evils that will attend the adoption of this government.

But with respect to the first objection, it may be remarked that a well digested democracy has this advantage over all others, to wit, that it affords to many the opportunity to be advanced to the supreme command, and the honors they thereby enjoy fill them with a desire of rendering themselves worthy of them; hence this desire becomes part of their education, is matured m manhood, and produces an ardent affection for their country, and it is the opinion of the great Sidney, and Montesquieu that this is in a great measure produced by annual election of magistrates.

If annual elections were to exist in this government, and learning and information to become more prevalent, you never will want men to execute whatever you could design -- Sidney observes "that a well governed state is as fruitful to all good purposes as the seven headed serpent is said to have been in evil; when one head is cut off, many rise up in the place of it." He remarks further, that "it was also thought, that free cities by frequent elections of magistrates became nurseries of great and able men, every man endeavoring to excel others, that he might be advanced to the honor he had no other title to, than what might arise from his merit, or reputation," but the framers of this perfect government, as it is called, have departed from this democratical principle, and established bi-ennial elections for the house of representatives, who are to be chosen by the people, and sextennial for the senate, who are to be chosen by the legislatures of the different states, and have given to the executive the unprecedented power of making temporary senators, in case of vacancies, by resignation or otherwise, and so far forth establishing a precedent for virtual representation (though in fact their original appointment is virtual) thereby influencing the choice of the legislatures, or if they should not be so complaisant as to conform to his appointment -- offence will be given to the executive and the temporary members will appear ridiculous by rejection; this temporary member, during his time of appointment, will of course act by a power derived from the executive, and for, and under his immediate influence.

It is a very important objection to this government, that the representation consists of so few; too few to resist the influence of corruption, and the temptation to treachery, against which all governments ought to take precautions -- how guarded you have been on this head, in your own state constitution, and yet the number of senators and representatives proposed for this vast continent, does not equal those of your own state; how great the disparity, if you compare them with the aggregate numbers in the United States. The history of representation in England, from which we have taken our model of legislation, is briefly this: before the institution of legislating by deputies, the whole free part of the community usually met for that purpose; when this became impossible by the increase of numbers the community was divided into districts, from each of which was sent such a number of deputies as was a complete representation of the various numbers and orders of citizens within them; but can it be asserted with truth, that six men can be a complete and full representation of the numbers and various orders of the people in this state? Another thing [that] may be suggested against the small number of representatives is, that but few of you will have the chance of sharing even in this branch of the legislature; and that the choice will be confined to a very few; the more complete it is, the better will your interests be preserved, and the greater the opportunity you will have to participate in government, one of the principal securities of a free people; but this subject has been so ably and fully treated by a writer under the signature of Brutus, that I shall content myself with referring you to him thereon, reserving further observations on the other objections I have mentioned, for my future numbers.

Cato.

Feel free to comment.

B

For instance...Impeachment Letter to Reps

"Good day Mr. Petri. I am contacting you today on the eve of our July 4th holiday to ask you to remember the constitution. Remember the rule of law - for without it government is nothing more than organized crime. Remember the sacrifices of our armed service members today and through out our history.

You see, the Founding Fathers were fairly advanced politically for their time. They understood the ramifications of the actions they set into motion all those decades ago. They foresaw a future when the government would no longer remember the rule of law. No longer value the sacrifices of patriots. And worst of all, no longer value the rights of the citizens or the basic human rights of man. They foresaw a future when the executive branch would overreach their constitutional boundaries. A future when the constitution itself would come under attack.
To protect the nation, the power of impeachment was bestowed on Congress. The House to indict and the Senate to try.

It is high time sir, the people of the nation demand justice. The rule of law demands justice. The constitution gives YOU the tools to bring justice.

If this nation is to continue as a nation of laws they must not be undermined by the very legislatures that create them, courts that interpret them, or the executives who are meant to enforce them.

There are many issues that must be attended to in very short order. Justice for crimes of the HIGHEST order must be sought. Investigations must be carried out. Followed by impeachments and criminal prosecutions.

We ask not for scapegoats, toothless measures, rhetoric to affect prestige, or partisan antics. We ask for honest, transparent investigations into all of the scope of this administrations actions. That appointees across the spectrum be removed as possible. Lobbyists have NO place in the offices they formerly lobbied. Bush's Supreme Court appointees need scrutiny. Bush, Cheney, Gonzales need to be impeached, tried, and then tried as common criminals - removing ANY and ALL chances of pardons. Justice must be served.

Your constituents, the people I talk to everyday - are constantly talking about impeachment. They wonder why justice is perceived to be "a waste of time" by those same people who make the laws.

Thank you for your time,
B"

Contacting YOUR Representatives for July 4th

Here are some links for the patriotic among you to get in touch with your congress critters or possibly even a White House fixture. If that is the case disband the legislature, Supreme Court, and the executive branch and let's get on with our lives.

Begin reclaiming our nation, our rights, and the basic human rights we should be promoting rather than genocide and mayhem.

This is just a start...when we accomplish these I'll celebrate.

B

No raises for congress!

So the critters want more pay.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070628/ap_on_go_co/congress_pay_raise

$170k per year, with insurance. No wonder they think the U.S. is doing so well.

As I read one comment in a forum say, Congress should lose their insurance until all American's have there own.
I'd like to take that a bit further. They should also link their pay to Wal-Mart employee pay (not management the stockers, cashiers, etc). Maybe then we can get some fairness in pay legislation. As it stands we are all economic slaves (unless we happen to be the business owner...).

In other news Warren Buffet today released a statement against the tax gap in this nation. To make his point he used himself and his receptionist as examples. He made $46 Million in taxable income and paid 17.7% while she paid 30%. The American Dream baby! Slavery without buying slaves, feeding, or supporting them. I have in my life spent many hours in schools (both primary and secondary) where far to much of my time was wasted by someone else's "free speech". It is not the time or the place for this.

All of this being said though, I also disagree with this ruling. You see, noone stops all of the other folks from their free speech in school. I shouldn't have to hear about abortion rights/right to life at school either (unless it is part of a curiculum of the class I am in attendace to). Or oil company rape of the nation, or freedom of religion fights, or .....any of the other acceptable forms of free speech. My right to an education that I am paying for (through taxes or tuition) should be every bit as inalienable as someone else's right to free speech. This isn't a matter of rights as much so as timing. Should I go to the legislature to learn? (I would be a moron in no time) Should I go to a hospital emergency room to exercise my free speech? How about the dentist's office? Your lawyers office? It is no different because a school is a public entity (in the case of public education). Do you go interrupt trials to hold up banners unrelated to the trial? Do you go to the prison yard to give your speech? Freedom of speech does not and should not give anyone the right to trample any one else's rights.

My point distills to this...you can not claim freedom of speech if some speech is allowed and others not. If you deem it necessary to curtail speech in school (which I agree with -- on the point of disruption only) then even enforcement is the ONLY way to maintain claims of freedom of speech. Meaning that unobtrusive speech that is not violating or disrupting anyone else's rights should be our right. Innappropriate speech in inappropriate situations should not.
Now I am aware that arguments of any curtailing of the 1st Amendment will eventually lead to the total loss of the right to free speech. Sadly, this right is already mostly gone. While this case has made its way to SCOTUS a much more malignant curtailment has been unveiled - "Freedom of Speech Zones" which are kinda like temporary internment camps for the purpose of speaking our free speech. These are truly offenses to our freedom of speech yet noone is really even talking about these let alone SCOTUS.

My first exposure to FoSZ was while reading a book by Jim Hightower where he gives an account of the FoSZ and "Jackboots" that enforced them in Florida a few years ago. Since then I have seen sparse mention of some cases of FoSZ here in Wisconsin (my neck of the woods). These atrocities against the Bill of Rights should be stood down by the population IMMEDIATELY however all I hear are crickets....

B

Republican Party Census Document/Questionnaire

Well I'm not sure how I got on the RNC mailing list. Yesterday I received a letter from the RNC asking me to fill out their questionnaire. As I read the questions, visions of misdirected poll data, very general questions allowing any interpretations, and another couple of years of skewed public announcements based on these horrible questions. As all this ran through my head I was also thinking of how much "liberal" writers and commentators like to spew how the Republican's are distancing themselves from the GWB neocons. Looks like Fascism as usual to me...

Here are the questionnaire questions: [All questions share the same generic answers : Yes, No, Undecided]

Homeland Security Issues:

1. If Democrats try to gut the USA Patriot Act and other important laws that promote the safety and security of all Americans, should the Republicans fight back?

2. Should we stop the Democrats from cutting funding for our intelligence agencies or bring back Clinton-era restrictions on inter-agency communications?

3. Do you support the use of air strikes against any country that offers safe harbor or aid to individuals or organizations committed to further attacks on America?

4. Should we do everything we can to stop Democrats from repealing critical border and port security legislation?

5. Should our homeland defense forces use profiling to protect our nation?

Economic Issues:

1. Should we continue working to permanently repeal the Inheritance or “Death Tax”?

2. Should President Bush’s successful income and capital gains tax cuts be made permanent?

3. Should Republicans renew the fight for a Balanced Budget Amendment?

4. Should Republicans unite to keep our pro-growth achievements from the past six years intact by blocking new federal government bureaucracy and red tape?

5. Should Republicans in Congress oppose the new wasteful government spending programs proposed by the Democrats and their leaders, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid?

Domestic Issues:

1. Do you agree that we must stop illegal immigration?

2. Should we continue working for serious tort reform to protect individuals and small businesses from predatory lawsuits?

3. Should we make sure President Bush’s judicial nominees receive fair hearings and up or down votes in the Senate even when Democrats threaten a filibuster?

4. Should Republicans in Congress protect American’s private property rights from eminent domain?

Social Issues:

1. Do you think Congress should pass the Federal Marriage Amendment?

2. Do you want us to defend the recently-passed partial birth abortion ban from attacks by the Democrat majority?

3. Do you support President Bush’s initiative to allow religious and charitable groups to do more to help those in need?

Defense Issues:

1. Do you think U.S. troops should have to serve under United Nations commanders?

2. Do you agree that our top military priority should be fighting terrorists?

3. Should we fight Democrat efforts to impose Clinton-era cuts in the Pentagon’s budget?

4. Should Republicans continue to support the State of Israel?

5. Do you support economic sanctions against North Korea and Iran to stop their nuclear weapons programs?

6. Do you agree that sowing seeds of Democracy and freedom in the Middle East is a worthy goal?

Republican Party:

1. Do you support the election of Republican candidates across the country and the rebuilding of our majorities over the next ten years?

2. a. Did you vote in the year 2002?
b. Did you vote in the year 2004?
c. Did you vote in the year 2006?

3. Will you join the Republican National Committee by making a contribution today?
a. Yes, I support the RNC and am enclosing my most generous contribution of:
b. Yes, I support the RNC, but I am unable to participate at this time. However, I have enclosed $11 to cover the cost of tabulating my survey.
c. No. I favor electing liberal Democrats over the next ten years.

Special Question for RNC members only:

Which issues will be most important to you (rank the top three) as you vote in the Primary and General Elections next year?

Abortion—Education--Federal Budget—Gun Control—Homeland Security—Illegal Immigration—Social Security—War on Terror—Other:

Well if that doesn’t give you a clear picture of the Republican party I don’t know what will. Most of these questions are utterly worthless due to extreme generality. The rest seem to be aimed at revisionist shifts to popular opinion or political smears. Not what I call leadership. I had a lot more to say on this but typing all of that in took longer than expected so I am out of time so...

B

Poll : Impeachment, Religion, Immigration, etc

Summer of Seven (07)
Where we stand…

This poll is an informal poll for visitors to my site. Will be one of the components of Miniplenty.

Justice – merges with state to make Miniluv! This department is more about covering crime than it is about fighting it. Political control is the currency within these halls.

Energy – the chain that binds us to fossil fuels.

Treasury – soon to be renamed the Chinese savings and loan. Wonder how AIPAC is gonna feel about that…

Labor – we have plenty of people looking for WORTHWHILE work! Not 28 hours at Wal-Mart for 8.35 an hour without any benefits except the phone number for welfare. Don’t “Gasp!” it is true.

Interior – kinda like ebay for industry to rape our natural resources.

There are many more departments but I can only stomach thinking about so many of them at once!

B

Now that's stickin it to em!

A cop with a sense of humor? Kokesh having his status changed. Actually, I still am. However, I must say that this brings up a good point.

If you just read that blurb you would be misled to think that the military was taking action against him for his speaking out {as an official reason anyway}. What that blurb doesn't tell ya is the reason given. It also doesn't tell you why that reason is important.

The reason given is because he wore his uniform in the fake militay patrol. This is a very long standing taboo. Our military is supposed to be apolitical. This is one of the manifestations of this policy. The uniform is not to be used as a symbol for any politcal cause. [I'm curious if he went out and bought some look alike camo that wasn't his actual uniform?] Now, before the flames consume us all...

While I do agree with the military logic on this, I find the hypocritical nature of the enforcement to be the real issue. All the presidents I have ever seen on tv [since Reagan at least] have used the military as a political backdrop. For instance, the well known "Mission:Accomplished" propaganda release from BushCo, used an aircraft carrier and her crew as a backdrop [and a rather over the top one at that] for a political end. The entire crew was NOT dishonorably discharged. That means it is ok to support a political action in uniform ONLY if it is in line with the official political power of the moment. That is not apolitical.

So the points in all this?
1. Sgt. Kokesh should be asked to continue his actions - speaking his mind, exercising his rights --out of uniform. He should also retain his status as honorably discharged.

2. The military itself should either hold itself to it's own standard or abolish it. Uneven enforcement is what corruption is all about. {The military has been a loyal Republicanesque "Conservative" institution for a long time so it is really only apolitical in theory} Remember this...banana republic dictatorships usually spring up out of their "conservative" military apparati.

3. Read deeper than the surface. Writers write themselves into what they write. If not in content then in lack there of. If they didn't who would need a writer? My post could have said this and been done with it:

OUTLAW LAWYERS
TEACH LOGIC

http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/news/20070601/a_uniform01.art.htm

http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20070531-115041-1857r.htm <--- tripped off one of my firewalls---sneaky lil bastids or what?

B

Put Libby in the can!

Well, while we are on the subject of our ethical legal professionals here in the U.S., we may as well bring this up to!

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/0531072libby1.html

Probation....for four felonies. The maximum sentence for his four Federal Felonies add up to $1 Million and 30 years in prison. Sounds about right to me. That's about as close to treason as it gets. This man should never see the light of day again. What else are the prisons we keep building for? Oh yeah...drug offenders. Most of em a danger only to themselves.

It will be interesting to see what happens... I'm sure it won't be what he deserves though. I Lewis Libby jr. - scumbag lawyer - yet another in a long line of upstanding legal professionals.

Yes, yes, I know generalizations are idiotic. Really though, how much damage should we allow one profession? Or a legal system that upholds the very corruption it is designed to eliminate?

This doesn't even touch on my personal experiences with lawyers... These experiences have not altered my opinions in any way. My lawyer for my mother's estate told me we would not be able to claim any funds in IRA accounts-- that the government gets to keep them. I told him he was insane, proved it to him, and STILL had to do ALL the work to claim the accounts. That was but one of his MAJOR errors that I am still dealing with 3 years later. Let's see then there are the lawyers who wouldn't touch the estate once he was involved or even discuss litigation against a fellow lawyers practice. They still charged me though for the phone consultations. It goes on but that would just be me bitchin...

So, ya this generalization doesn't bother me to much. I'm not off the mark to much when I say lawyers are scumbags.

More later I'm sure...they just can't seem to stop being scumbags.

B

As if you needed proof lawyers are indeed scum....

What profession has as much slime as that of the legal profession? I can't think of any. Some of ya might be tempted to say politicians...but that's the trick most politicians are....lawyers! Even the health industry has a slightly better reputation.

If any of you missed this story of utter selfishness please take the time to read it.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070601/ap_on_re_us/tuberculosis_infection_114

Apparently this guy felt his personal life was more important than any of the lives of those around him. He "covered" his ass but that doesn't show me any desire to protect others. If anything it shows intent. It shows that he knew what he was planning was wrong. (The tape recording proves it.)

This just shows exactly whats wrong with this world and more specifically our country.

People with money feeling that they have more right to everything (including life) than anyone else around them and the money to do as they choose.

Personally I think this guy broke some serious laws. He knew he was a risk. He had known for a year. He didn't plan differently for his wedding despite having a year to do so. That screams to me ...entitlement. He didn't feel he should inconvenience himself in order to not expose others to a deadly disease with no treatment options. Even more damning is his route home. He had been ordered not to fly, not to return. What's he do? He got on an international flight to Canada, rented a car, and drove back to the U.S. where we failed to stop him.

This guy needs to be held in criminal quarantine until he is cured (if), then transferred to a nasty federal penitentiary where he should remain for the remainder of his life. Certainly not propaganda stations. Which about sums up television so...

No, I'm no "dirty hippie". I'm not a leftist vegan either.

Yes, they are mostly propagandist and biased outlets that spend as much time distracting as they do misleading. This may or may not have been the case when the "dirty hippies" claimed it to be so (I was shittin me diapers around the time they pulled the guys off of the embassy rooftop in Saigon). It is most certainly the case now.

Anyway...the point is- I don't know a lot about Cindy Sheehan besides her Crawford Camp and Anti-War stance. I did come across this today though and she hits it right on the head.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/5/28/12530/1525

It's tough to even cut her post up for quotes...

"However, when I started to hold the Democratic Party to the same standards that I held the Republican Party, support for my cause started to erode and the "left" started labeling me with the same slurs that the right used. I guess no one paid attention to me when I said that the issue of peace and people dying for no reason is not a matter of "right or left", but "right and wrong.""

Now, I'm not an entirely anti-war type. There are some definite world problems that just don't go away to a polite request or a childish refusal to trade with them officially while allowing business as usual[plus increased corruption!] through loopholes and shell companies. However, war is the last resort not a tool of revenge and greed.
She hit the nail on the head about the partisan nature of the nation - attack the wrongs of the party that one opposes and ignore the wrongs of the party that one supports. Then she drives it home.

"It amazes me that people who are sharp on the issues and can zero in like a laser beam on lies, misrepresentations, and political expediency when it comes to one party refuse to recognize it in their own party. Blind party loyalty is dangerous whatever side it occurs on. People of the world look on us Americans as jokes because we allow our political leaders so much murderous latitude and if we don’t find alternatives to this corrupt "two" party system our Representative Republic will die and be replaced with what we are rapidly descending into with nary a check or balance: a fascist corporate wasteland."

Ding! Except...we are already there. It's just tightening now. This fascism has been growing here for a long time. It's machinations have been found in every corner of government of the land. From village to town to city to county to state and of course the national - corporatist fascism (which is redundant I'm aware) has been growing stronger and stronger. Where once the worker held some sway, illegal/quasi-legal immigration, corporate flight to cheap foreign labor, free trade (wealth consolidations), the Red Scare, corporatist chipping, and rampant corruption have drastically changed all that.

I can't touch the rest you should read it - sad but true...

B

Bush Wars III

Well, just a few things today. Here's a little something to see how your senators voted on the Bush Wars bill.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-Senate-RollCall-US-Iraq.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Looks like the sequel Bush Wars III will be funded...I sure hope he doesn't take this weakness from congress as a sign to start yet another foolish war - maybe into Iran or Syria this time. In my case one voted each way... at least Feingold is good for his word.

Send out some letters folks! Email your sens. Let em know that you are watching them. Let them know how you feel about how they voted (on this and other important legislation). Let them know that you are an informed voter. You watch, read, and remember when it comes time to vote. It takes a few mins literally to do so. I try to write my reps and sens often. It gives them a heads up and a little direction (particularly when it is their constituent telling them about particular bills and how they should vote). More importantly their response or lack there of will tell you how you(the constituent) stand in their view. That should give ya a BIG hint as to who to vote for on election day.
I know who I will and won't already.

If we do nothing, we will soon have just that.

B

Jerry Falwell coming home!

BRIMSTONE TIMES

HELL- Today, one of our most esteemed visionaries is coming home to us. This following a 73 year assignment among the living. His was a task of utmost importance to the work set forward to us by the Flaming Master himself. Don't take my word for it. Let his own words show you the incredible work he had to do.

HATE

"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, "You helped this happen.""

-- Rev Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians, feminists, homosexuals, and abortion rights supporters for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, quoted from John F Harris, "God Gave US 'What We Deserve,' Falwell Says," The Washington Post (September 14, 2001) { http://www.positiveatheism.org/hist/quotes/foulwell.htm }

"AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals."

-- { http://thinkexist.com/quotes/jerry_falwell/ }

LOVE

"I believe that the people of Israel are the chosen people of God"

-- { http://thinkexist.com/quotes/jerry_falwell/ }

"Grown men should not be having sex with prostitutes unless they are married to them"

-- { http://www.positiveatheism.org/hist/quotes/foulwell.htm }

Hell, no pun intended, with that level of deceit, hate and lies we can all see why he is so close to the PoD {Prince of Darkness}.

As we all know here in the Brimstone capital actions speak louder than words though. What greater actions could one have performed for the forces of darkness? Not only did he do his best to recruit others to our duties, he recruited recruiters and trainers! All of these underlings he collected together to form... oh I know your gonna love this... Liberty University! Here we can recruit, train, and infiltrate til the souls come home so to speak. This institution will exponentially increase the rapidity of decline we all work SO hard for. Making Jerry's time away an investment that pays off for generations to come!

So come one come all! Welcome the soul in anguish of the hour home from a long assignment! The parade begins at three o'hell party at 5!

Byline: Mick Jagger {yes, amazingly his body STILL continues on without him }<yes>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I didn't wanna just come out and cheer when someone died...even if it was someone as evil as Falwell. Yes, in case you didn't notice that was a little satire...I'm not really Mick Jagger's soul bound in Hell.

I guess all we can hope for came from his own mouth in a way...."But thank God this vile and satanic system will one day be utterly annihilated and there'll be a celebration in heaven." Revoke Liberty University's (and don't forget Regent!) accreditization and close em down! The last thing our government needs is more hypocritical blowhards. Close down every campus of Hypocritical Blowhard University! Oh yeah, retroactively...all degrees void. All of Bush's (and others) army of highly appointed Blowhard U zombies....fired.

One final note :

"I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!"

-- Rev Jerry Falwell, America Can Be Saved, 1979 pp. 52-53, from Albert J Menendez and Edd Doerr, The Great Quotations on Religious Freedom { positive atheism as well }

Aww shucks...to bad.

Have a good day and remember the world is now a slightly better place...

B

Fascism in America Today

I'm not sure if I have posted this before but it is a great piece about Fascism then and now that I think everyone should read. In my belief, they did this intentionally from the begining. This confirms it. They knowingly created it for its addictive qualities, hid those qualities, and simultaneously encouraged doctors to overprescribe it.

Let's see....

Addiction + Lies + Availability + Trust = BILLIONS of $ in Profits

Now let's look at the Justice is served point...

Billions - 645 Million = Still Billions (Justice?)

These men should be brought up on criminal charges. They deserve no special rights just because they are officers of a corporation. This corporation should lose its licenses. It's shareholders should lose their investments. It's held patents should be forfeit and open to use freely world-wide (if they have any worth a shit). A lesson should be taught to all these corporate criminals. What kind of drug war are we fighting? These guys aren't kingpins?

We need to get control back of our government.

We won't pass imported (Canadian) prescription drug bills for concerns over safety. But killing the USDA and allowing more food contaminations than ever before is cool.

We are in wars noone but the president, his administration, and his cronies feel the need to fight. Not that we don't feel there aren't wars we need to be fighting per se. We ALL feel those responsible for 9-11 should pay. Most of us feel that they haven't. A few of us believe that in fact they arent' paying but are getting paid. Regardless of who do it they must pay!

We allow the corporations to dictate to the market. We have no free markets. [Not that I think free markets are all that great. That's another post though.]

We allow religions to dictate our morals. Though these organizations themselves have been shown again and again to be without said morals.

We have allowed our rights to be revoked. We allow our government to torture. We allow our goverment to commit atrocities in our name, on soil both foreign and domestic. We allow our government to lie to us, poison us, control us, surveil us, steal from us, manipulate us, ignore us, and tax us to pay for it all!!

We allow our nation to be privatized right out from under us. Since business has proven itself so efficient, effective, non-discriminatory, free of corruption, and mindful of our rights we will now let business run government (American Fascism...hmm).

We need to regain our government.

Speak up, speak out, for fuck sake SPEAK!
What is it going to take?

B

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://b-political.blogspot.com/2007/05/justice-oxycontin-doesnt-feel-pain.html' title='Justice? I have many excuses, but that's what they are...just excuses. Let's just say it is hard to follow the decline of my country and have so little I can really do about it.

That being said, I am trying to make a better effort to come post my thoughts and findings. I have recently begun a new program at school and am still unsure of the amount of time I'm looking at spending on that aspect of my life atm.

Beyond that, there hasn't been much to comment on at all in the news lately (what with celebrity bimbos dying and sports talk personalities illustrating that they are unintelligent leeches on society). However, while all that was un-happening (that's really what these things are un-happenings) some real shit was going down. Bush appointed his latest list of crimi...lobbyi...frien...suppo.... umm people to Federal jobs. We got a shiny new ambassador to Belgium! Just goes to show what money can buy....a few well timed lies on national tv and BAM Belgium here I come! That's not all we got though is it? Nope we got an anti-social security "activist" placed as social security deputy commisioner too WOOHOO!

Bush is consistant to say the least. He has appointed lobbyists to the offices they formerly lobbied. He appoints financial supporters. He appoints polluters to EPA, oil cronies to Dept. of energy, corporate ag to USDA, and now an antisocsec to socsec.

That's just his appointments, not to mention his record against human rights and our citizen rights.

I am amazed people can STILL support Bush.

The only reasons I can come up with are complicity (making money off this circus) or idiocy (there may be an argument for lunacy but I don't want to slander any lunatics unfairly).

This should not even be a political discussion any longer. This should have become an issue of patriotism long ago. My grandfather and father both fought for this country. They enlisted to protect the American ideals - our freedoms, our rights, and our way of life. They would both be appalled by what has become of this country. Not so surprised about what the politicians have made of the country as they would be surprised that the people have let it come to this.

I believe those rights and freedoms to be the KEY to our way of life. Without the key all of us are locked out of our country. All of us.

In Bush's America ONLY the president and his financial supporters are protected from the law. Your legal protections have all been denied.

In Bush's America ONLY the president has the right to free speech...and his is absolute freedom. No one is allowed to question his word.

In Bush's America ONLY the president is allowed to have his personal communications exempted from oversight. The government can and does go through the personal private communications of the citizenry without any protections afforded the citizen. However, the president's communications - even when in direct conflict with the law - must always be privileged.

This is just the tip of the iceberg too...
Sounds like a GREAT place to live....if you’re the president.

It's time American's fought for their country back. We have left the thieves in charge of the treasury for far to long. American's need to stop being so lazy and complacant. We need to speak out, write letters, boycott products and companies, stop watching and supporting un-american propaganda channels, get together in LARGE numbers and refuse the freedom of speech zones, support alternative media outlets, get involved, write to your reps and senators for both state and federal, write to judges hearing important cases, write to advertisers of inappropriate programming (Rush Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Pat Robertson, etc.) THEN follow through and boycott if they continue to support said programming THEN follow through with that and write back to the boycottee illustrating the moneys they lost. MONEY TALKS! These are only a handful of ways to help. Find ways you can help to make this country the place it should be.

B

Happy New Year !

Howdy guys and gals,

I figured it was about time I posted again. I haven't totally ignored this site over the holiday season. However, most of the time I put into it was answering emails and killing auto-advertising that was hitting my comments area.

My posts may look like crap that is easy to churn out but most of the time involved is spent reading, tracking stories, and researching. The research and reading is what I really try to continue when time permits. This site wasn't intended to be a daily blog for me to rant. Partly, it was intended to be an outlet for me to try to bring things to more people's attention. However, this seems so much easier to do in comment sections of other sites (more traffic). This doesn't entirely cover the bases though. Therefore, I try to use this blog for when I feel certain items need more coverage, more analysis, or to be brought back out into the discourse.

Perhaps, I could do a little commenting on current events on a daily basis ....but aren't there enough of those sites?

Also, I was hoping that my comments section would actually be an arena for discourse. This seems to be wishful thinking for most blogs including this one.

Anyhow I hope you all had a nice holiday season and life finds ya happy and healthy.

B

Big Brother Alive in America

I have lived in the USA all of my life so far. I was raised with pride in the ideals of this nation. Ideals such as our freedoms and rights. I was never so naive to equate our government to these ideals, but I did hold the belief that there MUST be some sort of protections in place to guarantee these. After all, the military Oath is to the Constitution. The FBI, the Supreme Court, the ACLU, the press ..... In school we were taught of all these "protections", public and private.

Oh how the lofty have fallen...

These protections have been eroded, propagandized, bought out, appointed, and/or marginalized to the point that we find ourselves today.

Here's a few things of recent note...

Big Brother Sam - The use of remote microphones on YOUR cell phone to "bug" you! Now this is not so scary on the "they're after me" side of things as it is scary on the consolidation of power side of things. Such a program of widespread bugging possibilities has NEVER been achieved before. Not only does the government get a bug on every cell phone carrying person, the people targeted pay for the hardware and service themselves!!! Here's the links....

http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=28537

http://sf.indymedia.org/news/2006/12/1733225.php

http://news.com.com/Week+in+review+Tech+loses+a+loved+one/2100-1083_3-6141974.html

http://www.ktre.com/Global/story.asp?S=5777429&nav=2FH5

The ramifications of this technology and the power it imparts to the user are very dangerous.
The ramifications for the consolidation of power are immense.
1. Political eavesdropping - Nixon woulda LOVED this!
2. Blackmail - Who needs friends when ya can blackmail your enemies!!
3. Insider trading - In so many ways....

There ya have the makings of a political machine with MASSIVE power. Know who your enemies are and what they are doing. Blackmail or buy them out. If this doesn't work, out them with the blackmail material and let the media do the rest (and they will since you have the goods on them too!).

Of course, there are far more ramifications I haven't even touched on. Suffice it to say that in a nation of freedoms and rights this is a scary reversal. Now, on to the next tid bit.

http://www.altmuslim.com/perm.php?id=1837_0_25_0_C

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1208061shareef1.html

Many of you may have heard of this recent case of "terrorism". This looks to me more like a patsy that was to dumb to work out so they converted him to parade and pony show for the "War on Terrorism". At best it shows the inner workings of our inept Federal Government.
Every high school has a good percentage of people guilty of this moron's crimes.

Let's break this down...

The FBI develops a case somehow involving 1. an informant/guide and 2. a complete moron of African American decent who may be a muslim.

The moron doesn't have anything but anger, stupidity, and a big mouth.
The informant has 1. The plan 2. The motive 3. The weapons

The informant spends days preparing the moron.

Starting with the plan.
The moron has no plan. No target, no weapons, no money, no accomplices (aside from the informant...), no clue and no chance. He does want to start a Jihad against the U.S. and commit crimes to fund this according to the affidavit. So, as the affidavit shows, the informant spends days coaching a plan out of (or into) the moron.

In the middle of this, the informant plants the motive (Jihad/muslim). The moron's motive apparent in the statements contained in the affidavit are most likely attributed to anger/revenge to a judge that sentenced him.

That brings us to the weapons...first I must say, HOW DUMB ARE YOU!! If someone is going to trade you 4 grenades and 2 handguns for a set of ghetto blasters....apparently I must finish this statement... it's probably the feds!! Second, this SCREAMS desperation when you have to go to such lengths to make a terrorist to arrest. You couldn't find one moron with even $500 to trick?
Finally, since when is a hand grenade a weapon of mass destruction? Shit, tell Bush! Surely we must have found some of these in Iraq!!!

Assuming 9/11 was a terrorist act, is it any surprise we were unable to stop it if this is how we find and deactivate terror cells? Is this not a blatant and elaborate form of entrapment? Is this an efficient use of our federal resources?

It's clear to me that while this guy isn't exactly what I want as a fellow American he was no threat to me or the nation. The biggest threat this guy probably posed was to himself. Even if he somehow scratched up enough to buy a gun at worst he would have been a murderer.

Well, that's enough on this, read the links for more.

Think while it's still legal!

B

Response From Sen. Feingold on Impeachment

December 1, 2006

Dear Mr. Richardson,

Thank you for contacting me regarding presidential impeachment. I appreciate hearing from you.

The Constitution grants the House of Representatives the authority to draft articles of impeachment, and gives the Senate the power to try an impeachment. Each decision as to whether or not to convict on each article must be made separately, and a conviction on any single article is sufficient grounds for removal from office.

I believe the President should be held accountable for breaking the law by authorizing warrantless wiretaps of Americans on American soil. The President's claims of inherent executive authority, and his assertions that the courts have approved this type of activity, are baseless. He has broken the law, and he has made it clear that he will continue to do so. The President must be held accountable for his actions, and Congress must take action to check the power of an executive branch that is willing to flout the law.

That is why, on Monday, March 13, 2006, I introduced a resolution to censure the President because of his actions. I believe that this is an appropriate response to the President's illegal wiretapping program. Congress must hold the President accountable for authorizing a program that clearly violates the law and for misleading the country about its existence and legality.

There is no question that the government should wiretap suspected terrorists both inside and outside the United States to protect our national security. But the President has not explained why the government cannot comply with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which sets out the procedures by which the government can obtain a warrant from a secret court known as the FISA Court to authorize electronic surveillance of individuals in the United States who are suspected of terrorism or espionage.

As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, I will continue to push for a full congressional investigation and for full accountability. If you would like to read the text of the censure resolution please go to <<a href="http://us.f329.mail.yahoo.com/ym/http://feingold.senate.gov/censureresolution.pdf</a">" target=_blank >http://feingold.senate.gov/censureresolution.pdf>. To view the statement I delivered on the Senate floor just prior to introducing the resolution, please go to <<a href="http://us.f329.mail.yahoo.com/ym/http://feingold.senate.gov/~feingold/statements/06/03/2006313.ht</a">" target=_blank >http://feingold.senate.gov/~feingold/statements/06/03/2006313.html>.

Thank you again for contacting me regarding holding the President accountable for his actions. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Sincerely,Russell D. There's the push to get after Iran. I'm sure you can all guess my opinion about this lol. That is until I came across these today. I can't get at the video yet (I'm gonna dl it at a friends house later) but I found the story to be interesting.

Death Squad Video

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5767337426863032052&q=%22the+death+squads%22+channel+4&hl=en

Story

http://www.channel4.com/news/dispatches/article.jsp?id=301

Just goes to show that there will be no easy success. As far as that goes it is HIGHLY doubtful ANY democratic government will be achieved there.

It's sad that the U.S. and our dysfunctional democracy are trying to force another country to form a democracy. Our current president was not elected to his post in his first election, likely, not even in his second. Legislation opposed by large majorities are passing repeatedly. Disinformation is rampant. Media and any honest reporting are long gone and replaced by disinfotainment. Scholars and scientists are regarded as conspiracy theorists for even the most basic observations. Dissent is now unpatriotic. and on and on and on and on ad nauseum.

We will have to see if the dems. will make any substantial changes to this sad state of the union.
As a good friend of mine always asks me whenever we get into political discussions "Who is gonna liberate us?" As I keep telling him...only we can do it and getting the self interested involved is unlikely as hell. Politicians have been mere instruments of industry for FAR to long to expect to much from them. The truth is that barring self suffering most won't raise a voice let alone a finger. On top of all that, there are so many problems facing the nation that the task is daunting to say the least. That should make us more active towards a fix. It hasn't though...not yet.

/ramble off

B

Letter To Nancy Pelosi

mailto:sf.nancy@mail.house.gov

Note: I had to email this through my yahoo account as I am not a constituent of hers.

Nancy Pelosi

Greetings and Congratulations,

I am writting to you today in disbelief.

I believe that a BIG part of the election just past was government accountability. I thought this came out loud and clear. This did NOT mean we wanted some toothless lobbyism bill.(Though lobbyism needs to end)

We, the American Voter, DEMAND ANSWERS!

Answers require independent investigations of the highest level. Again we are NOT interested in toothless.

Just a few of the biggies:

War on Terror - We want a full investigation of all our options in our wars(all of them). We do not want to cut and run. We want options to the optimal possible outcome. Then we want swift actions in that direction.

Corruption - Start at the top. This problem requires Investigation, Prosecution, Legislation, and Oversight. We want Justice.

Terrorism - Is our government the terrorist we should fear the most? If not, why is 9/11 still a mystery? Why is the Oklahoma City Bombing still covered in sham? Why are innocent American's dying and NO honest, independent investigations have been conducted? Why don't either explanation stand up to science or even the most cursory examination? Why has the Anthrax in the mail thing never been "solved"?Why are so many aspects of all of these investigations being hidden, destroyed, recycled, classified (so high the investigations don't even get to consider them), or otherwise supressed? Most shockingly, Why did the President of the United States obstruct the investigation into 9/11 right from the start? Why has his families connection to the security firm in charge of WTC not been investigated?

There are so many more... Dick Cheney and the obvious conflicts of interest RAMPANT in his office, and the president's. Lobbyists in control of the very organizations overseeing the industries they used to represent. The recent rash of corporate scandals, Sarb/Ox is toothless as well. The destruction of our Constitution....

So in light of all this, how can you take impeachment off the table? If EVER there has been a DIRE need for impeachment it is now. Watergate is NOTHING compared to this administration's crimes. So, again, how can you take impeachment off the table? Fear of political fallout? This is rediculous, it is your CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY. That leaves but one other reason...complicity. PLEASE show America this is NOT the case.

I'm not demanding impeachment. Not yet. That is for after the investigations. Please though, remember your oath. Remember it is your DUTY. Be strong, honest, and give America ONE representative that gives us hope for Justice and a future.

Sincerely,

B

Impeachment Poll on msnbc

Here's an interesting poll by msnbc. It's web based so hardly can it be claimed scientific but with margins SO stark in contrast it must be at least somewhat accurate (unless you want to believe someone has voted 360,000 times to offset the results). Anyway there are other reasons it's not exactly an accurate poll (it is on msnbc so it is made up of their readership or those who followed links from some such, it is on the internet thereby those without access - like the FBI - would have a more difficult time of responding, etc).

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10562904/

B

Petition...

I have been making my rounds this morning and found this petition. Several times now I have been asked where I get all my stats, information, claims, etc. Not always as a challenge to the argument/discussion. Sometimes it is out of a true desire to go research some things on their own. So, I will post here a bunch of the sites I go to for various sources of data. Now keep in mind, some of these sites I go to for "false" data as well (meaning I go to sites of various political affiliations and research what is being claimed there as truth, see what they are talking about, etc). These sites give biased information to varying degrees (Townhall is rabidly Republican, Truthdig is left leaning) but they give viewpoints of those ideals.

Here is a partial list of .gov type sites I frequent:

http://www.fedstats.gov/

http://www.census.gov/

http://factfinder.census.gov/home/saff/main.html?_lang=en

http://www.firstgov.gov/ <---- General U.S. Government info.

http://www.gpoaccess.gov/ <---- Government Printing Office

http://www.gsa.gov/Portal/gsa/ep/home.do?tabId=0 <---- General Services Administration

http://www.energystar.gov/

http://www.regulations.gov/fdmspublic/component/main <---- "Your Voice in Federal Decision-Making"

http://www.nih.gov/ <---- National Institute of Health

http://www.bls.gov/ <---- Bureau of Labor Statistics

http://www.supremecourtus.gov/

http://www.gao.gov/ <---- Government Accounting Office

http://www.loc.gov/index.html <---- Library of Congress

http://www.dol.gov/ <---- Department of Labor

http://www.usaid.gov/ <---- Agency for International Development

http://www.ed.gov/index.jhtml <---- Dept. of Education

http://www.archives.gov/ <---- U.S. National Archives

http://www.sec.gov/ <---- Securities and Exchange Commission

http://www.ustreas.gov/

http://www.eia.doe.gov/ <---- Dept. of Energy / Energy Information Admin.

http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=98357,00.html <---- If you ever want a headache

http://www.fec.gov/ <---- Federal Election Commission

http://www.cbo.gov/ <---- Congressional Budget Office

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/ <---- National Climactic Data Center

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/ <---- Bureau of Justice Statistics / Dept. of Justice

http://www.nrel.gov/ <---- National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Heres a few viewpoint sites:

http://www.townhall.com/sitemap.aspx <---- Easy access townhall (so you can get to individual blogs easier as well as townhall content) Conservative talk radio site.

http://www.crooksandliars.com/

http://www.truthdig.com/ <---- Liberal media site

http://www.thenation.com/

http://www.corpwatch.org/

http://www.aclu.org/ <---- American Civil Liberties Union

http://www.911truth.org/article.php?story=20041221155307646 <---- Some questions about 9/11 that do need answering.

Well I think thats enough for now... Congress appears to be under Dem. control now. This makes me hopeful that justice may finally be sought. I'm not holding my breath (as Dems. represent the "lesser evil" of american politics).

First we must find our heads from our asses on Iraq and Afganistan AND reign Bush in on Iran, Syria, and N. Korea AND reign in Israel who is taking advantage of our destabalizing the middle east by doing some more of their own. The idea that our (and our allies) destruction of the Middle East is somehow going to alleviate radical Islam is...well beyond idiotic.

Then, I think it is time to demand answers. From 9/11 to Cheney's Energy Giveaway Party to Manipulation leading to the Iraq war to Rove's (Repub in general) dirty political tactics to the missing $11 Billion in Iraq funds to the conflicts of interest with Enron and Halliburton to Political exposure of CIA assets to election fraud and on and on. I can't think of any administration that has gotten away with so much for so long.

Once we have the answers, it is time to prosecute. Crimes from fraud to treason have been commited and justice is needed. The list of defendants is immense. Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, members of both houses of congress, members of the Supreme Court, etc etc. I don't think we should stop there either. All the insiders that have "consulted" (colluded) with or for this administration--they share as much blame.... execs of the war industry, energy industry, oil industry, mining interests, etc etc.

While we are at it. It is time to strengthen our laws to conflicts of interest. No more closed sessions for one. If you intend to make an energy council out of all the execs and lobbyists of the corporate energy giants you can do so OPENLY. So we Americans can have OUR say in the process (since our say is NOT welcome in the commitee). No more cabinet positions held by lobbyists(or executives) from the very people they are to oversee. Same for department heads. No mining lobbyists in the EPA. No energy lobbyists in the DOE. No Corporate Ag lobbyists in the USDA. These organizations were created to protect us. They are NOT vessels of control for the industries they are to oversee. We must strengthen our government against these very assaults. Have the past 6 years not illustrated just how bad and how fast we can fall from our ideal?

I will be composing a letter to my representatives about this issue in the next week or so (my library is closed for inventory this week and I want all the facts I can get to make my point).
I will post it here once it is finished.

B

Gotta love the GOP

Here's yet another dirty trick the Genocidal Oppression Party uses to stand between the American people and a FAIR election.

http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/001940.php

It's hard to believe (for me) that people can even support a party that has so many tricks to derail fair elections. Charles Rangel recently vowed to put all of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts “on the chopping block." He may wield the chairman's gavel over the tax-writing committee next year. Imagine what will happen to your family tax bill if he carries through on that threat.

To get rid of all the tax relief, all Rep. Rangel has to do is...nothing. The tax cuts all expire soon.
Imagine the consequences for our economy. Imagine how you would feel if you did nothing to stop him.

Tell Congress to make these tax cuts permanent.

As an added incentive, the Club for Growth will provide free trial membership to everyone who signs this important petition.

The Club for Growth has rapidly grown over the years because of people like you. The best thing we can do to keep pro-growth tax cuts is to let Congress know that we won’t allow them to sit idly by and watch our tax cuts disappear.

Please also invite a friend to sign this petition. Not only will they be joining a worthy cause, but they too will receive a complimentary trial membership to the Club for Growth.

Together, we can stop those in Congress who want to raise our taxes and splurge on a wild new spending spree. Our nation's economic future depends on enlisting more people like you in the fight for economic freedom.

Best Regards,
Pat"

Rather propaganda like in it's ignorance to reality. Their email was much fancier it didn't cut paste to well.

And from the Dem. Party I got...

"Dear B,
There's one thing everyone who wants Democrats to win tomorrow needs to remember: be prepared for anything. We offer a fresh start and a new direction, but each and every Democrat must get to the polls to make our vision a reality.

Reports of voter suppression and potentially illegal tactics have already begun surfacing in districts where Republicans seem to be heading for defeat. That's why it's so important that you vote. From repeatedly harassing phone calls to disgusting flyers sent to Hispanic voters, they're trying everything they can to keep Democrats from voting.

No matter what the other side does to try to keep Democrats at home, we have to continue our person-to-person outreach for this final stretch. Our democracy can withstand these tactics if every one of us lives up to our responsibility to engage our neighbors in this movement to take America in a new direction.

We've put together the resources you need to spread the Democratic message and reach as many people as possible. Here are just a few of those resources:

Find Your Polling PlaceIn addition to allowing people to report election irregularities, the 1-888-DEM-VOTE number also provides your polling place. You can call, or find your state's polling information here: http://www.democrats.org/pollingplace

Last-Minute VolunteersThe best way to volunteer at the last minute is to call your local Democratic Party: http://www.democrats.org/volunteer/call

Print Your Own Flyers The Democratic Agenda: http://www.democrats.org/agenda/visionVoter Protection Info: http://www.democrats.org/voterprotection/materials

One look at those flyers will remind you what we're fighting for in this election.

What do the Republicans offer us? Spiraling costs in both human and monetary terms with no accountability and no plan in sight for Iraq, more people working full-time just to live in poverty because the minimum wage hasn't changed in a decade, and more people suffering in silence because, just like 45 million others, they don't have health insurance.

The vast majority of Americans have had enough. That's why the Republicans have resorted to doing anything they can to distract or deceive voters.

But we Democrats have our own plans, which couldn't be clearer:

Honest Leadership & Open GovernmentWe will end the Republican culture of corruption and restore a government as good as the people it serves.

Real Security & A New Direction in Iraq We will protect Americans at home and lead the world by telling the truth to our troops, our citizens and our allies, and we will heed the advice of our commanders on the ground and force a change in the failed Republican strategy in Iraq.

Energy Independence & Lower Gas PricesWe will create a cleaner, greener and stronger America by reducing our dependence on foreign oil, eliminating billions in subsidies for oil and gas companies and developing energy alternatives.

More Jobs, Better Pay & College Access for EveryoneWe will create jobs that stay in America, raise the minimum wage, and open the doors to college for every American.

Healthcare that Works for Everyone & Life-Saving CuresWe will join 36 other industrialized nations in making sure everyone has access to affordable health care, and we will make decisions to invest in stem cell and other medical research based on science, not politics.

Retirement SecurityWe will ensure that a retirement with dignity is the right and expectation of every single American, starting with protecting workers' pensions expanding saving incentives and preventing the privatization of social security.

I can't stress enough how important these final hours are -- and because of the Republican voter suppression tactics, every one of us will need to do even more.

If you or someone you know has any trouble voting or is harassed in any way, please take down as many details as possible and report it. You can report any voter suppression or election irregularities by calling 1-888-DEM-VOTE. You can also report problems online here:

Hmm not bad. He missed a lot of important issues but as far as solicitations go...not bad.

Well, Just get out and vote folks!! We can't bitch if we don't vote (ahem or voted for the offenders).

          B

The Republican Formula

These transcripts from Fox News (of all places) show perfectly the Republican Formula of Discourse.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,226120,00.html?sPage=fnc.politics/youdecide2006

Throughout the entire interview Elizabeth Dole uses bait and switches, outright lies, subject changes and in general, rudeness to control the interview. It's sorta a longish story. Suffice it to say that electronic (or motorized) goods and I don't mix well.

Thursday as I was finishing up some work my primary computer began a 5 day death march. I was getting windows stop errors within 5 minutes of boot up and all the fun that that brought. Groaning (I have already replaced the power supply, modem, and graphics card this year...and the comp is only 18 months old) I began messing with it. Microsoft OCA was very helpful (gags) and informed me that it was a driver error. So I began attempting to update stuff (in small time intervals with a 28 kbps connect FUN!!). Graphics card, modem, virus scanner, even java over the next couple DAYS (yes...days) to no avail. Next I tried removing items (softwares, old drivers, disabling hardware, registry errors, dust, lol everything)...no avail. Ok so here I am now broken crap and tried almost everything I could without gutting my tower. So with a sigh I try windows restore which has NEVER once worked for me. Hours later and 4 restore points still no dice. By now I'm just wishing for the weekend to get the hell over so I can take it in.

Oh ya, in the middle of that (about saturday am) I booted up my second comp. which already had a broken modem and graphics card. I was attempting to test some other theories about my primary comp. When, my secondary monitor dies. #Sigh#

So, now it is Monday finally. I pack both of my cpu towers into my truck and head to Madison (about an hour drive away). I had a huge list of items to fix and problems to track down. I also wanted to get a couple new software aps. and a flat panel monitor. All day long I spend in Madison waiting. They got comp. 2 fixed up but couldn't track down anything causing the windows stop errors.

Tuesday, back again to Madison. Turns out to be my motherboard. By now I'm assuming a LARGE repair bill. It takes the rest of the day to download, re-window, update, install, etc etc etc.

WARNING! ENDORSEMENT FOLLOWS!!

If you live anywhere near Madison Wisconsin, THE BEST repair, upgrade (hardware or soft or even custom systems), or anything computer shop I have found. I'd try these folks first.

RAVEN COMPUTERS
(608) 661-1372

These guys bent over backwards to get me up and running asap. As for the bill...it was nearly half what I was expecting! They put my concerns first and were very good on value. [A business ethic absent in todays world for the most part]

SO....(told ya it was a long story...glad I didn't add the background aren't ya !) the point is....
I'm back :)
If I do have any readers (despite my blogs name) I apologize for the lack of any updates for the past week.

As for this week I intend to add to my list of initial contacts (Democratic Party and Russ Feingold atm). I intend to add some media, business, non-profit, and individuals to the list soon.
Fox News and Wal-Mart I want to get to for sure this week if possible. This won't probably be a fast process as it takes quite a bit of work to write a decent letter. Unlike most crap available to read today, I actually do research to know what I'm talking about. I also try to think a little about who, what, and why I'm writing to whomever I am. Though as you can see...my structure doesn't get a whole lot of time...

B

Action?

Well, I'm not hopeful that this will do more than make me feel a little better but I have also decided to start a letter and email writing campaign. I went to the Dem. Party website earlier to drop a line....

"I have been, in the past, a supporter of your party. Not because I agree with your platforms, but because we as Americans have almost NO choice in elections, and your platforms are far closer to my (and MOST of YOUR constituents)beliefs than are the Republican "ideals". This restrictive email form alone tells VOLUMES of how little the common man has a say in the new Dem. party.

The last thing this country needed was a "follower" party that would try its damndest to emulate its competition and match its levels of corruption and disconnection from the actual citizenry. The Clinton ideal of chasing after corporate cash instead of attacking and removing it from politics is not only disgusting and depressing it is WRONG.

We are a nation that was founded for the people are we not? CORPORATIONS ARE NOT PEOPLE! It disgusts me to track down the cash that floods not only the Republican coffers....but your own.The even more disgusting part is watching the legislation that is then enacted FOR those contributors (buyers) of THE PEOPLE'S representatives. Funny word that, representatives, as few represent anything remotely like their constituents belief. At best they represent a handful of their constituents... the priveledged people who contribute to their campaigns.

I have so many questions...Why do you allow what has happened since the 2000 elections? In our democratic society how can the SUPREME COURT throw out our constitutionally protected right to vote (AND HAVE THEM COUNT)? Worse, how can the Dem. Party sit so quietly by? How could the USA PATRIOT act EVER pass in this country? Where is the USDA? SEC? FEC? Why do we subsidize immensely wealthy corporations to take high paying American jobs overseas? Why are my tax dollars going into the treasury so that they can be bundled up and sent to some wealthy person with a nice new tax break? Why is self-regulation even considered (it is the most idiotic fallacy)? Why are we allowing the richest citizens to keep their money all their lives tax free (capital gains) and then allowing it to pass on after they die tax free? Why are the few who make the most use of the infrastructure we all pay for the ones who are given the most in tax protection (they use it and abuse it we pay for it)? Why have we lost so much in freedoms, environmental protections, job protections, consumer protections, and actual (non drug) crime fighting to just name a few? For that matter, why are we killing state budgets with the highly unsuccessful drug war? Or, why are we cutting into education funding while still fighting this lost war on our own citizens?

These are just a few of the many questions I have. I know the answers. Do you? Can you admit them to yourselves? Your loved ones? Your children?
If you would like to know more, maybe get a pulse for what the country REALLY cares about, contact me. You have my contact information. Isn't it time to truly start a national and honest dialog with the REAL citizens of this nation? Or is the new millenium new America only one of "Corporate Citizens"? "

Sorry for the format it didn't copy paste well. Their site wasn't exactly friendly towards email as it was (I hate forced email forms...). I will check out the Republican site later methinks :)

I have also started contacting my senator and intend to start on my rep. I guess I could add some state offices as well but then I would have to get more form lettery (no way I'm composing and writing 20 original letters a week).

Gotta do something right? Or should I just forget it and go shopping as Bush advises?

B

Dollars bring change?

...and I don't mean the jingly kind.

I used to like Wal-Mart. Back before Sam died and "Made in the USA" went ever so quietly away. Sam was an aspiring monopolist no doubt, but at least his multitude of stores were at least selling U.S. goods (thus supporting American labor). I might be mistaken but I think I remember a time when they bragged about the high percentage of US to imported goods on their shelves.

But those days are LONG gone. Not so long in years but VERY long in terms of how far from that ideal Wal-Mart has come. Today, Wal-Mart is an enormous employer in the U.S. As a matter of fact, they are the numero uno private employer in the U.S. Only the U.S. government employs more. Their website has a link to http://www.walmartfacts.com/FactSheets/ that stated

"Wal-Mart is the nation’s largest private employer and a leading employer of minorities, with more than 225,000 African American associates; more than 150,000 Hispanic associates; and more than 240,000 seniors who are 55 or older." and "Wal-Mart employs 1.8 million associates worldwide, including 1.3 million in the United States."

Now to my point. You would think that this company that supported the American worker would be a provider of good paying jobs with good benefits.
Alas, it is not so. Their main site claims

"Our average hourly wage for regular full-time associates in the U.S. is $9.68 an hour, almost double the federal minimum wage."

while their propagan...errr, fact site claims

"Wal-Mart’s average, full-time hourly wage is $10.11 and is even higher in urban areas, where the cost of living is higher."

While this might sound like its not so low let me make a couple of observances.

This is ONLY an average of FULL time employees (they won't say what their average is for part-time employees).

This INCLUDES their store managers and floor managers (to a large degree considering the exclusion of part time labor).

Full time to Wal-Mart is not a 40 hour work week. This means in order to claim that they hire xyz number of full time employees (a major argument that Wal-Mart uses to help open stores) they have lowered their consideration of full time to 25+ hours per week. This means an Full-Time employee earns between $252.75 and $404.40 a week or $13,143-$21,028.80 a year for full time employment. [Assuming $10.11/hour] Now this is before Payroll Taxes, Income Taxes, and Insurance payments are deducted. Not exactly even a living wage is it? But isn't it great!! There are 1.8 million of these Poverty level full time employees out there!!!

This post is starting to lose its way. So I'll have to wrap it up and continue at another time about the WONDERFUL WALLY WORLD!!

B

P.S. The thread title "dollars bring change?" refers to the boycotting of Wal-Mart that myself and so far one friend have agreed to. My receipts per month there were around $500 per month alone (they killed the local grocery store). I now drive 20 miles to a nearby town to shop in a local market. The extra cost per item and gas to get there is FAR less than WE are losing by getting Wal-Mart goods so cheap. But I'll get into that in a later post.

Am I Alone....

Am I alone in....

.... thinking we (as a nation) are not moving forward?

.... thinking we are actually digressing?

.... the belief that we ALL deserve clean air, water, environment in general, and food supplies?

.... the belief it doesn't HAVE to be this way?

.... my utter shock at what has become of our government?

....or our electoral system?

.... my disgust of the wholesale theft of our rights of late? As it's URL will attest this blog will be political thought mostly. Don't read this crap if you don't want to be pissed off. If your offended by attacks on entitlement (by me)... you'll be pissed. If you like the earth....you'll be pissed (at them). If you believe in core values.... health, fairness, safety, civil and human rights... you'll be pissed (at them). So...basically this is a place for me to vent when this surrealistic Orwellian nightmare gets to be to much...(if it pisses me off I'm bringing it here in other words).

Still here huh..

Well, Ok then here's a few more things to expect.

This is NOT structured writing in any way. I write as I think (as opposed to composing each and editing yada yada before publishing) - That's the whole point to me. This isn't to say I won't correct things I find to be wrong factually later. Just that there will be mistakes.

If I were to be submitting this to a newspaper or book publisher I would be sure to use correct grammar and spelling and not make a mess of my writings with mistakes that i should have corrected or deleted and i would make sure that all things like capitalization and structure were also followed so as to make my writing as clear as possible but this isn't to be submitted and i wont submit something like this without edits now as it is getting more difficult to stretch this wordy run on any longer i will consider my point made on spelling, grammar, structure, rambling, wordiness and move on.

I do try to be factual. The reason that sounds squishy is because it is. Not through any fault of my own. Ok, maybe a little. But mostly because a lot of what I read about and want to vent about is deliberately jumbled information that Washington works very hard to confuse. Ever read the patriot act? I have....and rest my point.

I won't be flashy... for now anyway. I live in Wisconsin which is a fairly modern state (in the USA - a fairly modern country). However, the phone company here won't fix our phone lines (despite legally being required) unless I first fix mine inside the house. My line sounds like a freight train regardless if it is attached in the wall jack or their box on the side of the house (thus removing my lines from the equation). Besides this I live 2 miles outside town and 1500 ft. from the terminus of cable service. I connect at roughly 26.4 kbps so don't expect much beyond text.

Also, I'm extremely new to this....I'll be learning as I go.

If you made it this far (WHY?!) welcome to Don't Read This Crap.

B
